I hate to iron!

I just found this video in a random kind of way and thought it was a four minute investment that I wish I'd have had much earlier in my life. He has some great tips for ironing a shirt in about three minutes.

Fly Lady

This is a foundation for help and support for getting your home organized and in order. Fly Lady is a wonderful woman who tells it like it is. No need for perfectionism or, as she calls it, "stinkin' thinkin'".

If you get one tip from this blog, Fly Lady may just be the best thing I have to offer as a foundation for taking care of keeping your home clean.

Ready, set, F.L.Y.

Peanut Sauce

I knew I wanted to make an Asian dish for my family for lunch today. I have a fast way of throwing things into a pot so I don't have to think about it much but it's still yummy. I wanted a twist, did a search for peanut sauce, and found Cooking with Amy (Here's the URL in case for some reason the link doesn't work: http://cookingwithamy.blogspot.com/2005/07/perfect-peanut-sauce-recipe.html). I didn't measure, just threw the stuff into a pot and it got rave reviews from the... er... do I dare? ...peanut gallery.

You could use this sauce on pasta as well. Amy gives lots of other ideas.

You know, I've been thinking about doing a blog like this for years now and it was this recipe that just gave me that last little push I needed to click "publish." So, thanks Amy. :-)

Enjoy.

Welcome!

Okay, so a welcome post is kind of boring, but I had to start somewhere and this is where I'm breaking the ice. The first thing I wanted to post was about a peanut sauce recipe I found that is so yummy and simple. If you found your way here, go check it out on the food tab.
Best blessings and love,
